puppy, and a date with the siebachs

For their one year anniversary Nathan bought Emily a Shiloh Shepherd puppy. She arrived at the airport and my job was to go pick her up. Jake came with me and found this abandoned wheelchair so he was showing his tricks. I teased him because he always tells me that if he ever gets to the point of being put in a wheelchair due to age my job is to push him over a cliff and put him out of his misery. I teased him saying that I couldn't push him over a cliff, after all look at how much fun he is having. We picked the dog up at the airport
She didn't have a leash nor a collar so we made a stop at Petco to buy her one.
Well at Petco she got her drinks of water and then she decided to have a bowel movement right in the middle of the store. Oh no! I bought her a collar and leash that were of course pink!
She is all ready to hang out at Jake's house until we meet up with Emily.
Emily seemed pretty happy about her new pup.

Later that night we went with Nathan and Emily to the new xmen movie. X Men Origins: Wolverine. It was full of action and I actually liked the movie. To all who might go and see it: There is something at the end of the credits.
After the movie we swung past Applebees for some dessert. Jake and Emily both got blondies.
Nathan ordered and shared the appetizer sampler. Nathan trying to convince me to eat a piece of chicken, "It has your name on it." Jake added, "I see it."
I ordered the triple chocolate something something. I don't remember the name, but it was really good!
Group picture! Thanks for coming with us you guys! I had a great time!

CRAZY EYES

So Jake bought these crazy contacts and sent me a picture of his white ones. Can you say gross. I do not like them. They remind me of something that marilyn manson would wear. Well he also bought a pair of pink contacts and let me be the first to wear them. We took pics of them.

Mother's Day

Being it is mother’s day I think it is very fitting to say how thankful I am for my Mom. She is such a wonderful person and I just love her! Several people laugh at us when we are being goofy because we clap our hands or do a little dance or whatever it may be. We also wave to eachother in a dorky way. She spoils me rotten by bringing me dinner everyday while I am at work and I greatly appreciate it. Mom was the one who would stay up late to help me finish some projects and she would also spend hours corn rowing my hair for girl’s camp. She also stayed up late to make my prom dresses knowing I would only wear them that night. She is patient with me and always lets me talk and talk and talk and talk and talk. She is a great listener and such a comfort. She knows exactly when you need a hug or need to cry. She has a kind heart and is always nurturing. I remember her making me stop in the middle of the street so she could rescue a pigeon from the traffic as he had already been hit by a car and was flopping on the road. When my bunnies were sick Mom would nurture them and when my bunnies were dying and dead she was the one who scooped them up and put them in a box to be buried. Mom is seriously wonderwoman. She just seems to do it all! She is so talented and it seems like she is a pro in everything. I also love to hear her laugh. I will always remember when i was little and my Grandma DiAnn described my mom’s laugh as a “beautiful sound.” As I have grown older i have found that to be true. I am so grateful to have her as my mom. She is the biggest dork and i love it! The above picture is Mom at one of our scrapbook all nighters. She found this accordion in the back and came back dancing and playing as if she were a folk singer. It was very funny! I love you Mom!!

Zoolander, nailpolish, exorcist wanted= a fun night

Benny always does this expression. I never realized it was a zoolander face or the joke behind it because I have never seen the Zoolander movie. Jake came over and we watched it. I loved it and thought it was funny. One of my favorite scenes is probably the gas fight.

I don't remember why we had to go to Jake's house that night, but he showed me the following scenery. Do you see how the truck is parked so far back? Well Jake's car used to be parked in front of it. However instead of waking Jackie and Donny up to move the truck Jake just took a detour on the lawn.
between the trees. . .
on the sidewalk and out to the road. I thought it was funny and asked Jake to please take pictures of his detour so I could scrapbook them.
When Jake came over I had just gotten in the shower. I made it very clear that I was planning to take a long shower so he went upstairs to wait for me. I came to the upstairs bathroom to comb my hair and then paint my nails. While I was combing my hair Jake crawled in our big tub to visit. haha.
He also ended up painting my toenails. I was impressed--no messes.

Danika looked possessed anytime I took her picture. While we were watching Zoolander she really wanted to cuddle on our laps. She kept getting kicked off the couch, despite her big begging eyes.

Here comes the bride. . .

Congrats to Barrett and Holly who are engaged! Sorry but this is the only picture I have of them.

Twilight fever

Well I finally did it, I guess I got curious. When I first heard about the Twilight series I had absolutely no desire to read a vampire story at all. Any vampire stories that I had had to read for school or whatever was just gross and all about sex and just not what I wanted to sit down and read, so I wasn’t going to read the Twilight books. I couldn’t believe the hype that came with the books and when the movie came out it was crazy. Well after it had been on DVD for a bit Jake’s mom wanted to watch it. Jake watched it and got me to watch it with him. It actually wasn’t half bad, infact the movie made me want to learn more about the story. I borrowed the books and loved the story. It was a very easy read and was nice to just fall into after some stressful events had occurred at our house. I think the thing I loved most was that Edward is such a gentleman. It made more sense to me for him to be oldfashioned and chivalrous and thinking back to the time periods, shouldn’t other vampire stories have been just as gentlemanly? As I stated before I enjoyed the series, and even though the movie had some cheesy parts, it got me interested in the books. I guess I did it backwards by watching the movie first, but maybe that was better so that I couldn't complain that Rob Pattinson didn't look like "My Edward" or whatever the complaints might have been. Instead of focusing on what my characters looked like i could focus more on the story.

Jake was making fun of the movie:

“Jessica did I ever tell you you are like my own little drug, specifically heroine”

He interrupted me and with such a serious face said, “Jessica.” I thought he was concerned over something so I asked him what and he responded, “I am afraid if I bit you I wouldn’t be able to stop.” Talk about a big eye roller. What a dork.
