Halloween fun

Friday we had a Trunk or Treat that was put on by the Elder's Quorum. We had great attendance. Thank you so much for all who participated! It made a huge difference. I didn't pass out candy, instead I took pictures. Here are all the cute costumes!

This little boy cracked me up! He wouldn't let go of the shark fin on that boy's costume. He lost his pirate knife and stayed like this debating. He started walking towards the knife while the other little boy walked the other direction, finally the pirate let go.

I was also impressed by the kindness and patience of everybody as they guided the little ones, be it children or siblings, or no relation at all. I wanted to capture some of that. . .

Today we practiced our Primary program songs, but with a Halloween twist. We made magic potions as part of our review. It is a favorite of the children so I just added a little backdrop on the chalkboard to make it more Halloweeny! We had a good time and they are learning their songs very well.
Saturday my family and I went to Missoula for Benny's last cross country race. He had a good race. WHile we were there Mom and I went to Heaven aka. The Scrapbook Hide Away. We ate at Staggering Ox and then headed home. About a block from my house my parents swerved a head of us to avoid a tumble weed. The boys and I went back in my car to go run it over, knowing it would stick to my car. We just laughed and laughed when we hit it.

CONGRATS TO MY BROTHERS!

October 15th was a pretty busy day. Benjamin had his cross country meet at the Anaconda Golf Course and after that Jordan had his Eagle Court of Honor.
Congrats to Benny for taking first in the boys with a time of 17'38''

Congrats to Jordan for making his eagle. He planted trees on the other side of the River's Edge Trail for his project and was delayed due to the rain, so the mulching had to wait, but he made it in time for his birthday.

A Very Merry Unbirthday to you!

We have had quite the time in primary with consistency and as a result many birthdays have been missed. So for our primary activity in August we decided to have a Disney Unbirthday party for the children. We actually had nine children show up! Very impressed! The children had a great time! We would watch a clip from a Disney movie and then we would play a game or have something that coordinated with that movie.

Alice in Wonderland--I drew the rabbit and mad Hatter from the movie so the kids could get their pictures takenWinnie the Pooh--I drew good old Eeyore to be our prop or victim for the game of Pin the Tail on the donkey

Snow White--The children bobbed for apples

Aladdin--We played Aladdin music while the children played musical chairs.

Little Mermaid--The ice in the soda contained seashell shaped things. Esther bought pizza and made cupcakes for the celebration! I love these pictures because it really captures the personalities of the children. I love working with them. THey are all such a joy and a blessing to be around. I am proud of all of them and I hope I will be able to stay in contact with all of them even when they are in their teenage and adult years and I become "an old lady." They always make me laugh and brighten my day!
