Oh Happy Day

Em's hubby was nice and bought Em and I a massage at Linda Michael's spa. It was my first time having a massage, but it was very relaxing. Em and I visited in the sauna first.
Then we had these "wraps" that we wore. I have to tell you that they weren't that easy to figure out at first.
We also wore these little slipper like shoes.
This is the room I had the massage in. I love how spas are able to create a relaxing feeling just in their interior design.
How was the massage? Definitely a thumbs up! It was also nice because Em and I went to the Peak to work out before we went to the massage, that way we wouldn't be sore afterwards and you know what I think it worked! Thank you very very much Nathan!

Primary Activity and I am thankful for the primary presidency and my calling

We had a primary activity today. We started with a small easter egg hunt and then the kids would go to each door and we would open the egg of the whichever number was on the door and learn the story of the atonement, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and why we celebrate Easter.

Jarom stood guard at our "tomb" for the last room. The kids had to move the rock from the door to go inside where they found an empty room. We then talked about the resurrection.
Afterwards we had pizza.
The primary presidency: Pres. Esther, 1st counselor Me, and 2nd counselor Alla
I am very grateful for my calling in the Primary presidency, especially now that we have more people to help in primary and those who are willing to serve diligently in their callings. I love being with these little children and I have to laugh at their outrageous comments. They truly all have sweet spirits about them and I love to hear their testimonies and their willingness to be genuine. Last Sunday during closing prayer Lincoln asked Heavenly Father to "please let us watch a movie so Mom will let us eat popcorn." I just love these guys! We have several kids who are moving and I will miss them, but I hope they continue to grow in the gospel and to keep their testimonies strong. I am also very grateful to be serving with Esther and Alla. They are two wonderful and fun people and I am always impressed by their ability to serve, teach and to care for these little ones. I am grateful for all you guys do!

Movie at jake's

"Sleeping like an angel" I think not.
The flash was apparently a little too bright.
Me getting in my comfy spot.

Hooray! I love this down comforter. It is so comfy to curl up in. We watched Sword in the Stone and then we ate dinner with marshmallow shakes. Jake has never had one before, but I love them. He has now converted to these yummy treats. We looked at pictures and then Jake helped me with my computer, cleaning out all the stuff that is taking space on my computer. It wasn't too bad of a night, but I was glad we got to see eachother.

ONE MORE DAY

Tomorrow is the big day! I cannot wait!!!

Name calling

I have a problem when it comes to name calling. I just say things without thinking about it. For example if Jake is being silly I tell him he is being a queer. He always corrects me saying, "Oh so I like guys now. Well I am glad you are my cover up." I also call him a jerk if he is mean. I don't think of them as being mean, but they get my point across even though for the most part it doesn't make any sense. i justify it because there are worse things to be called than gay or whatever else. Well I call my brothers and sometimes Dad is included in it, a bunch of buttheads. If I am irritated I will say, "Which one of you buttheads. . . " or "You little buttheads!" It is an ugly name, but I use it. Well anyway the point of my story is that Dad adds to it, making it funnier. So one morning I came in to the bathroom to find some of my clothing in front of the mirror and one of my tanks shredded. I came upstairs and referring to Benjamin and Jarom I snapped about what "buttheads" they were. Dad continued it by deciding we should be more specific. He now calls Benny "Colon" and Jarom "Rectum" As I stated before, there are worse things to be called than the names I use.

Room update

The carpet was laid in my room on St.Patty's day and it adds so much to my room! I absolutely love love love it!! You can see what the trim will look like in my room in this picture (above). The floral carpet is one that Dad picked out for me awhile back, but it has been the inspiration to my whole room decor. I just love that green color!

There is carpet in the closet as well.
I started putting some of my stuff into my closet. Unfortunately I have to buy some more hangers (since people can't leave my stuff alone) and I need to put the rest of my clothes and those brown boxes in my closet as well.

Let the count down begin

Four more days before Holly cuts my hair. I am very excited!!!! I will post pictures again when it is short!

Quite the Sunday

This one is out of order, but this stain glass is the window to Grandma Carole's front door. I hope you don't mind me posting the things in your home Grandma Carole and I don't know the story on all of them. Anyway this window is a duplicate of the one at St. Ann's Cathedral. It was made in memory for Jake's grandpa. The symbolism is pomegranates if I remember right. Jake and I had visited his Grandma's house and she had talked about some of the things in her home--I didn't realize the symbolism and value behind a lot of it. Pretty neat!

Jake and I at his Grandma's. We arrived an hour and a half early to the party so we were killing time.
Jake's grandma has two birds and the one just layed an egg, but anyway this is the male bird. I think his name is Chaz. Anyway he will do cat calls and whistle at himself if you place him in front of the mirror.
The fireplace at Grandma Carole's house. She told us that the fireplace came from the old columbus hospital.
I love this clock. It is so pretty. I laugh at this picture because Jake looks pretty guilty.
The window in color
This statue came from Okanawa? and greets you as you walk in through the door.
Happy Birthday Dan! It is Jake's dad's birthday March 16th. His grandma had a little birthday party today for him and we were joined by Gus, Jake's aunts Tami and Amy. His grandma sang a solo happy birthday to him, she is such a good sport, and then we ate cheesecake. Jake's aunt Tami is pretty funny. She was making comments nonstop and they were pretty funny.
I asked Jake if he loved his CUDDLE BUG. He joked that it was his new pet and it loved its neck scratched.
and we were just being dorks. as you can see I am being attacked.
After church we came home and ate some of Mom's yummy enchiladas and then we took some pictures.
Jake is the one who wants pictures and yet he is the one who will make faces and goof around with the camera.
