The past couple years Mom and I have gone to a scrapbook retreat in Monarch with some friends. So with lots of little things that kept us from leaving earlier to the retreat we finally headed out on the highway. We got about four miles out of town when the ride became very bumpy. Mom pulled over and there was a flat tire, even though she just air in. We just laughed the whole time about it. Mom called Dad. While waiting for Dad Mom was advertising for some help haha. Here she is showing off her muscles. We only got two loosened when Dad and Jarom came to the rescue. We transferred our scrapbooking stuff to my car and were shocked that it all fit in that tiny thing! Esther's birthday was March 29th so we made cupcakes for her. That night at the retreat we sang to her. Happy Birthday Esther!
Mom bought us matching pajamas!
It was snowy and muddy so Mom and I brought up our boots!
Our theme this year was CSI: Crop Scene Investigation. Mom made our shirts before we went. Nicole and Esther were the only other ones who dressed up. We of course had to get one with Aunt Tara! Thanks for all your preparation Tara. I am sure it was stressful, but we had a great time! Tara loves Mom's pretzel salad. Mom made Tara her own plate of the salad. I had to laugh when I saw that Tara was drawing where she was finishing to make sure that nobody was dipping in. I couldn't resist. The temptation was killing me to just dip in the middle Tara. On Saturday morning at 1:30AM Mom made her orange rolls for Saturday's breakfast. I walked past the kitchen and started laughing at the little chef who was all decked out in her apron. We had so much fun that weekend. I finished 21 pages and most of them were old pictures that I have procrastinated to scrapbook. On the way to Monarch we passed by about 30-40 head of elk! On the way home we passed by about 5 or 6 wild turkeys. This time we had to get a picture. While taking the picture the male of the group was closest to us and Mom was so funny as she was gobbling at him. He would fan out his tail and stick out his chest, fluff his feathers and strut. Then he would stretch out his neck and gobble back. It was funny. I am surprised we got pictures because I was shaking while laughing. I had such a fun weekend. I have been looking forward to it for awhile now. It was nice to get away from everything and just spend time with friends and especially to laugh with my Mom. She really is awesome and I love her so much!!!
